About Me
The New Horizons Band of Northern New York and my clarinet playing began together. From the fall of 2009 to the fall of 2014 I improved my clarient playing while the band grew from fumbling through Hot Cross Buns to giving concerts around the North Country. It was a wonderful experience that opened opportunities for music making and socializing that I would not have had any other way. Then, in September 2014, we moved to Massachusetts. It has been a good move EXCEPT that I terribly miss being part of NHBNNY. It was an experience and relationship that I will never be able to replicate. Thank you, NHBNNY. |

About Me
I played the clarinet throughout my high school years. When I retired from SUNY Potsdam, I decided to pick it up again. I have really enjoyed making music with everyone in New Horizons since I joined. |

About Me
I started out in 4th grade playing flute...the only choice I had since I was told no Reed Insturments, and I had braces so brass was out, continued playing for the past 50+ years by myself. Joined NHB to get back to playing with others. Decided on taking trombone as well as flute to give myself a challenge. I really enjoy playing both, and plan to continue playing both. I was a school bus driver, left that position when we moved here in 1999, returned to college (SUNY Canton) graduated with a Business Degree, now I sit home and play with Teddy Bears (my business is 'EmBears) I also teach classes for the American Red Cross. My husband & I travel during the summer on our motorcycles...the only way to travel. |

About Me
I played a little piano in my youth but never had the opportunity to learn a band instrument. After my 4 tumpet lessons I have new respect for all trumpet and brass players! I have not learned enough as of yet to join in on band practice but I hope to in the 2nd half of the year. In July of this year I retired from St. Lawrence County/Department of Social Services. I was happy to retire but miss the people. I hope to volunteer and or work part time in the future. In the meantime I have the challenge of the trumpet to keep me busy. |

About Me
I played cornet in high school and up until I was 32. I auditioned to attend Crane on JFK's inaugural day, but then decided on a different life choice. I have been retired since 2006 after being the county mental health director for 17 years. I also play the piano and guitar. I play lots of golf in the summer and live with my two pugs, Bella and Buster. |
